The MAW Method is a coaching program I created through my own personal journey and experience of competing in strongman.


All of the training is easy to understand and follow with no nonsense.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does everyone receive the same coaching program?

You receive a personalised coaching program based on your current strength levels for each lift or event.


Your program will be updated each month as your strength progresses.


That way you are always training at the correct intensity level, for the biggest strength gains.

Will I be doing the same weights and exercises week after week?

You will have a target number of reps and sets to hit on each exercise.


On your main lifts such as squat, bench, and deadlift, your weights will go up the next week if you completed all reps on all sets.


Every 4 weeks if you feel you need more variety, we can look at making changes to your program. These changes could come from different rep ranges, different numbers of sets, different exercises, or variations of the same exercises.

How long will I need the strength coaching program for?

During the year there are different phases you will progress through such as the foundation phase, conditioning, competition prep, and maintenance.


Committing to the coaching program year-round ensures continuous growth.

How does the online coaching program work?

After subscribing, you'll get access to our coaching app which we'll use to create your workout program, set your exercises, weights, sets, and reps.


The app will be used to track every workout, so we can see you progress on each of your lifts.


You'll also be able to personally message Scott Maw on Whatsapp with any questions that you have.

About my strongman career

I'm Scott Maw and I've been training and competing in strongman for 15 years.


I won Yorkshire's Strongest Man in 2023 after returning from an exploded ACL injury that left me with a torn knee ligament.
